Voice Recordings

When you use WhisperPlan's voice recording feature, we temporarily process your audio recordings to transcribe them into text and extract tasks. Audio files are:

  • Processed using OpenAI Whisper API for transcription
  • Analyzed using Google Gemini AI for task extraction
  • Stored temporarily during processing
  • Deleted after transcription is complete (unless you choose to keep them)

Usage Data

We automatically collect:

  • Device information (iOS version, device model)
  • App usage statistics
  • Error logs and crash reports
  • Performance metrics

Task and Project Data

We store the tasks, projects, and notes you create within the app, including:

  • Task titles and descriptions
  • Due dates and priorities
  • Project names and colors
  • Transcribed text from your voice recordings

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide the Service: Process voice recordings, create tasks, and sync your data across devices

Third-Party Services

OpenAI Whisper

Audio transcription service. Your voice recordings are sent to OpenAI's servers for processing. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this data processing.

Google Gemini AI

AI task extraction service. Transcribed text is processed by Google's Gemini AI to identify tasks, priorities, and deadlines.

Firebase

Backend infrastructure for authentication, data storage, and cloud functions. Google Firebase's privacy policy applies.

Apple App Store

Payment processing for subscriptions is handled by Apple. Apple's privacy policy applies to payment information.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption:

  • Data in transit is encrypted using TLS/SSL
  • Data at rest is encrypted in Firebase Cloud Firestore
  • Voice recordings are processed over secure connections
  • Access to your data is protected by authentication

Data Retention

  • Voice Recordings: Deleted immediately after transcription (unless you opt to keep them)
  • Tasks and Projects: Retained until you delete them or close your account
  • Account Data: Retained until you request account deletion
  • Usage Logs: Retained for up to 90 days

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction: Update or correct your information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
  • Export: Download your tasks and data in a portable format
